The sports event of 2015— Super Bowl XLIX

The multi-million audience of viewers are looking forward to February 1, 2015, when the annual championship game — Super Bowl XLIX – will be played. In 2015 the final game will be held in Arizona at the University of Phoenix Stadium. The stadium counts 63 400 sits, but it can hold up to 72 000 people. VIP guests are provided with 88 luxury loft suits. The stadium was built in 2006 and it is the second time it hosts the Super Bowl. The first time the University of Phoenix Stadium hosted the Super Bowl XLII in 2008. The stadium is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities so the football fans can feel comfortable there: retractable roof protects decks from bad weather and the translucent “Bird-Air” fabric that gives an impression of an open space area.

The fans fond of gambling make their predictions, but no one knows for sure who will become a new Super Bowl owner. One hundred students participating in the Elevate Phoenix education program created a decorative Super Bowl XLIX 100 Day countdown banner. Either children or adults are gripped by football fever and make everything ready for the future event. Ticket sales began in November and the most devoted football fans have already purchased them. Moreover, bookmakers have started taking bets on the final championship score. The biggest football intrigue of 2015 is a new Super Bowl winner.

The Pro Bowl

On January 25, 2015 the all-star game of the NFL — the Pro Bowl – will take place at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Traditionally the teams are chosen by coaches and fans. This is the third time in the NFL long history when the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl will be hosted in one and the same location. This game isn’t less attractive than the championship final. People will see a first-class play featuring the most popular football stars.

Super Bowl XLVIII

Think of the year 2014, when the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl game. The Seahawks players achieved a certain Super Bowl record as they were winning almost during the entire game (59:48). The head referee of Super Bowl XLVIII was Terry McAulay. The game was played at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford (New Jersey). Despite unfavorable weather conditions and the open-air stadium, even cold couldn’t deter players and fans from the game.

The special guest stars of this unforgettable show were Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The Super Bowl XLVIII broadcast on Fox has the record-breaking audience – 115,3 million people. This game took the rightful place in the history of American football.
